Fondant couch

When coming across a new production technique or insight into it, it creates a flood of creative possibilities in my head and often provides me with multiple designs. They usually just come to me in an instant or while sleeping.
Before benches with foam are upholstered, the foam will be glued in shape around, often, a wooden base. A rubber spray finishing technique gave me the insight of finishing a bench one step before upholstering because upholstering was not necessary anymore. The step where foam mats are glued together but now in an obviously visible way and then sprayed upon. The foam is easily shaped but the form it creates in its crevices and corners is something very characteristic of how foam behaves. This creates a character of its own. This behaving of the material and layering this on my design, really gave me the feel of icing a cake with fondant.
This bench became a character of its own. If the bench had a dream it would probably apply itself to audition in a pixar movie.
