Morphed log table

I have a dog named James, every morning me and James go out into the wild.
As far as wild goes in the Netherlands. When walking at the southern moorland (nl-heide) of Hilversum, I always walk a path where there is a treetrunk sticking out a couple of cm/an inch above the ground. I like to step on it. I am definitely not the only one. All those shoes over time completely polished the wood. It was just like a cartoon trunk. As a kid, just like any, I loved cartoons.. Actually still do because of it. When drawing cartoons you create with a lack of detail so you need to stay close to the essence. I loved that idea as starting point for the design process. It became a whole series of products starting with the chair, the table came seventh.
